Role Summary
Technology Innovation Foundation of IIT Palakkad (TECHIN) is seeking a dynamic and highly organized Sr. Manager/Project Manager to support the organization in driving startup incubation, entrepreneurship development, strategic partnerships, fundraising, and operational excellence. This role is ideal for an energetic professional with strong communication, documentation, and multitasking abilities, and a passion for building impactful innovation ecosystems.
Required Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Master’s degree in Science/Business Administration/Management/Entrepreneurship, or a related field from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience.
• At least 4 years working with startups, incubators, accelerators, or innovation ecosystems.
• Experience in managing programmes or projects in organizations, startups, incubators or institutional environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English, and proficiency in at least one of the following: Malayalam, Tamil, or Hindi.
• Proven ability to write reports, proposals, and programme documentation. Draft and manage agreements, MoUs, and project-related documents.
• Prior experience in fund sourcing, grants, CSR, and institutional partnerships.
• Execution and management of funded projects will be considered an added advantage.
• Good at conducting meetings, reviews, and presentations, and representing TECHIN at various forums.
• Highly organised, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-moving environment.
• Strong interest in startups, innovation, and entrepreneurship, with a mindset to build and grow ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities
• Work closely with organisational leadership to drive programme delivery, stakeholder engagement, and ecosystem growth.
• Lead the planning and execution of incubation, acceleration, and entrepreneurship programmes.
• Work closely with startup founders to track progress, address challenges, and support growth.
• Manage multiple programmes and projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines, milestones, and outcomes are met.
• Engage and manage mentors, experts, funding partners, investors, academic institutions, industry partners, and government stakeholders.
• Prepare management reports, MIS dashboards, and other strategic documentation.
• Facilitate conferences, demo days, workshops, training sessions, and stakeholder meetings. Design, manage, or coordinate startup-focused training and capacity-building initiatives.
• Good at business development, fund sourcing, and partnership building
• Build visibility for TECHIN through ecosystem engagement, outreach activities, and networking.
• Undertake any other responsibilities assigned by the management from time to time.
• The role may require travel based on project and organizational requirements.
Maximum age limit- 45 years’
Salary Particulars
• Consolidate salary of ₹80,000 to ₹1,00,000 per month (Depending on skills and competencies.)
• The position is on contract for an initial period of 1 year, including a 3-month probation period. The contract may be extended based on performance and organizational requirements.
