The Certified Plumbing Technician (CPT) Program is a skill development initiative under the WaSH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) initiative, designed to raise plumbing standards and build a strong workforce in Palakkad and beyond.
Jointly recognized and certified by the Centre for Continuing Education (CCE), IIT Palakkad, and the Technology Innovation Foundation of IIT Palakkad (TECHIN), in collaboration with the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO), India, this program provides participants with both industry-relevant knowledge and hands-on training.
Through this intensive upskilling program, participants gain expertise in:
- Installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems and fixtures
- Water distribution and wastewater management practices
- Advanced plumbing techniques and safety standards
By mastering the fundamentals of plumbing systems and applying them in real-world scenarios, participants are equipped to excel as skilled professionals in the plumbing industry, contributing to better water and sanitation standards in the community.
