Samagra 2025 – TECHIN SaniTech Startup Conclave
Samagra 2025 – TECHIN SaniTech Startup Conclave was organized on March 26–27, 2025 at Grand Meydan, Distrikt 9, Palakkad. The two-day conclave brought together entrepreneurs, policymakers, industry experts, and sector leaders for meaningful discussions on innovation, entrepreneurship, and the future of sanitation technology.
Event Overview
The conclave featured an interactive startup exhibition showcasing the innovations of 17 TECHIN-incubated SaniTech startups. These startups presented a range of technologies and solutions aimed at addressing sanitation challenges in urban and rural contexts. The exhibition served as a platform for visibility, networking, and collaboration, attracting stakeholders from government, academia, and industry, and offering founders valuable feedback and engagement opportunities.
Startup Pitch Session
The day concluded with a startup pitch session that provided entrepreneurs with an opportunity to present their solutions and receive constructive feedback from experts, helping them refine their business models and strategies.
Session on Emotional Quotient & GSCOE Visit
The second day began with a session on EmotionalQuotient in Leadership, designed specifically for startup founders. Led by Ms. Vinitha Joseph, the session focused on developing selfawareness, emotional intelligence, and effective communication—key attributes for leading highimpact ventures. The session was highly interactive and included several activities, allowing participants to engage deeply with the concepts and reflect on their own leadership styles. This hands-on approach helped reinforce the importance of emotional resilience and interpersonal skills in navigating the entrepreneurial journey. The conclave concluded with a guided visit to the Global Sanitation Center of Excellence (GSCOE) laboratory, offering participants an opportunity to explore its state-of-the-art infrastructure. The lab is equipped with advanced facilities for the testing and analysis of septage, sludge, water, and wastewater, supporting rigorous technical evaluation and field validation of sanitation technologies. The visit highlighted GSCOE’s ongoing R&D efforts and its role in strengthening innovation capabilities within the WaSH sector. It also reinforced TECHIN’s commitment to providing a comprehensive support ecosystem for sanitation-focused startups, enabling them to develop, test, and scale impactful solutions.
