Call for Innovations under i-MEC of IIT Palakkad Technology IHub Foundation (IPTIF) in Collaboration with Technology Innovation Foundation of IIT Palakkad (TECHIN)
About the Program:
The i-MEC Program on Clinically Driven Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) & Medical Electronics is a national-level technology development and innovation program aimed at addressing critical healthcare challenges through advanced technologies in Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) and Medical Electronics. As part of the initial phase of the program, clinical problem statements were collected directly from doctors/ clinicians, hospitals, and healthcare professionals to identify pressing unmet needs in healthcare delivery and medical systems. These clinically validated challenges were subsequently reviewed, refined, and consolidated into key focus areas. The program invites individuals (Researchers associated with an institution, Doctors/ Clinicians, and Faculty) and Startups to develop innovative technology solutions addressing the identified focus areas. Selected teams will receive comprehensive support for technology development, including funding assistance, prototyping support, engineering and product development guidance, mentoring, testing and validation support, clinical inputs, ecosystem connections, and market access support to enable the successful development and deployment of solutions under the specified focus areas. To strengthen clinical validation, technology development, startup support, industry engagement, and innovation outreach, the program will actively collaborate with leading ecosystem partners. Key partners include the Indian Medical Association (IMA), Kerala Medical Technology Consortium (KMTC), NSRCEL-IIM Bangalore, etc.
